Harry Douglas is a local business owner that champions environmental sustainability. He achieves 100% carbon neutrality through a sustainable business model and planting trees via the More Trees platform.

Annual audit

In January, the business’ emissions are calculated for the year ahead. This is monitored throughout the year to identify areas where emissions can be reduced to ensure 100% carbon neutrality.

Recycled paper

Client documents are shared digitally by default. When requested, printed documents are provided on recycled paper using recyclable ink cartridges. Business cards are also printed on recycled paper.

Branded products

Marketing products such as the reusable jute bags are made from ethically-sourced and recycled materials. The production and display of branded property boards is also offset.

Community

Harry is a registered volunteer on the Team Hexham Volunteer Hub and welcomes the opportunity to support environmental and sustainability causes throughout Northumberland.

Planting trees

The business operates as a carbon neutral estate agency by planting trees to offset carbon emissions. Trees are also planted for each property listing and property sold.

Home office

Running the business from Harry’s home office helps minimise carbon emissions and frees up a space on the high street for bakeries and bookshops (far more exciting than an estate agency!)
